Wherever you are right now

Professional life brings moments that demand more than a tick-box.

We write for three kinds of professional — you may be all three at different points in your career.

01
Responding to a concern

A complaint or investigation has been raised.

You need to understand what insight means and show it clearly. Our Fitness to Practise courses were built for this moment — calm, structured, and grounded in what regulators actually look for.

02
Revalidation & appraisal

You need development that genuinely means something.

Substantive material to reflect on, and evidence of the professional engagement that makes revalidation straightforward — not another hour you'll forget by Tuesday.

03
Staying ahead

You'd rather understand the standards than find out the hard way.

Most professionals who face complaints didn't see them coming. Our ethics, probity and boundaries courses are for those who take their registration seriously.

Most sought after

Fitness to Practise

Insight, reflection, remediation — how to respond credibly when a concern is raised about your practice.

Ethics

Consent, confidentiality, candour, and everyday ethical decisions.

02

Probity & Honesty

Integrity and rebuilding trust — non-negotiable for every regulator.

03

Professionalism

Conduct, communication, documentation and competence — the standards that define a trusted professional.

04

Professional Boundaries

Appropriate limits with patients, colleagues, and online — including social media and digital conduct.

How every course is made.

Every course goes through the same rigorous process — because quality isn't something we negotiate on.

01

Written by specialists

Content researched and written by people who understand UK healthcare regulation and the real situations professionals face.

02

Reviewed by a qualified doctor

A medically qualified reviewer (MBBS) reads the course in full and confirms clinical and regulatory accuracy before it's published.

03

Grounded in real frameworks

Aligned with the nine-regulator joint statement on reflective practice, GMC Good Medical Practice 2024, the NMC Code, and HCPC Standards.

04

Assessed & certified

Knowledge checks throughout, a final assessment to pass, and a verifiable certificate of completion — for genuine assessed learning, not attendance.

Common questions.

Everything you need to know before you start.

Who are CrownEthics courses for?
UK-registered healthcare professionals across every regulator — doctors, nurses and midwives, dentists, pharmacists, allied health professionals, opticians, chiropractors and osteopaths — at any career stage, including those responding to a complaint or investigation.
Are the courses reviewed by a medical professional?
Yes. Every course is reviewed and approved by a medically qualified doctor (MBBS) before it is published. A clinician reads the content in full — not a nominal process.
Is there a test, or do I just watch the material?
There's a real assessment. Every course has knowledge checks throughout and a final assessment you must pass to complete it — so your certificate reflects genuine, assessed learning, not just attendance.
Can these courses help with revalidation or appraisal?
Yes. The courses are substantive and structured, giving you genuine material to reflect on and to support your appraisal and revalidation. The reflection you do is what carries the weight — the course gives you the structure and the evidence to support it.
I'm responding to a concern about my practice. Can this help?
Our Fitness to Practise courses are designed to help you understand and demonstrate insight — the quality regulators look for most. No course can guarantee the outcome of a regulatory process, so for any formal matter also seek advice from your defence organisation, trade union, or solicitor.
